COMMUNITY BURNING
Bear River Prescribed Burn Association brings neighbors together to put good fire back on the land. Using a barn-raising model, landowners burn with landowners—sharing tools, knowledge, and labor to get the work done safely. Together, we build local capacity, restore forests and rangelands, and create defensible space around homes. It’s community-powered prescribed fire—practical, collaborative, and rooted in trust, stewardship, and resilience.

TRAINING
& EVENTS
Our training and events are built around community-based prescribed fire—neighbors learning and burning together. The PBA hosts hands-on field days, workshops, and live-fire trainings where landowners gain practical skills to safely plan and implement burns on their own properties.
Using a barn-raising model, participants work side by side, sharing knowledge, labor, and experience. These events build local capacity, strengthen relationships, and create real opportunities to get good fire on the ground.
Whether you’re new or experienced, our trainings focus on community, safety, and putting prescribed fire back where it belongs—locally led and locally supported.
