Landowners Helping Landowners. Community Burning. Good Fire.
From the Ridge
Building Local Capacity for Good Fire
The Bear River Prescribed Burn Association is a community-based effort helping local landowners safely bring good fire back to the landscape. Through neighbor-to-neighbor support, hands-on training, and qualified fire leadership, we are building the local capacity needed to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health.
Whether you are new to prescribed fire or already managing your land for resilience, Bear River PBA helps connect property owners with burn planning support, trained practitioners, equipment, and field-based learning opportunities.

Why Landowner-Led Burning Works
Community prescribed fire works best when local people lead the effort. Bear River PBA helps landowners share knowledge, pool resources, build confidence, and safely complete burns that protect homes, improve defensible space, and restore fire-adapted lands.
